In November of 2019 a cow elk became trapped in one of our Grange members fencing. The animal was injured and could not be saved. After contacting the Department of Fish and Game to secure their permission. It was decided to harvest the animal and donate the meat to needy members of our community. Ekness Meat agreed to donate cutting and wrapping of the Elk – a $146.55 value.
Five families that received boxes of meat from this project. All were very thankful to have help feeding their families over the winter.
In the Spring of 2020 several ladies in our Grange made face-masks for the COVID-19 effort.
